Esta simples ideia é a mais eficiente disponivel no mercado. O Colchão aquecido e colocado sob o paciente criando um ambiente suave, confortavel e com controlo de temperatura.

Principle of operation
The Heating Pads consist of eight individually regulated and monitored heating elements (four in the small pads). Each heating element also functions as a temperature sensor, and monitors its own whole surface. The heating elements are etched on a Mylar film (an extremely strong plastic) and all is moulded in a protective cover of fireproof PVC-plastic. This makes the Heating Pads watertight and very resistant to pulling forces. All Heating Pads are interchangeable. The thinness, combined with a maximum power output of 200 watts (100 watts for small pads), allows quick warming up even when used with Gel Pads. The Control Unit is microprocessor controlled and built for continuos use so that the operating tables can be kept permanently warm.

Operatherm foi concebido para facil utilização. A "finissima", flexivel e transparente ao Raio X, placa de aquecimento é colocada sobre a mesa opertaoria (ou Cama de Cuidados Intensivos). O KanMed Anti Pressure Gel Pads são colocados sobre a placa de aquecimento. A placa de aquecimento é ligada a unidade de Controlo que pode ser colocada no local mais conveninete ou suspensa na mesa operatoria, permitindo selccionar a temperatura desejada. The Kanmed Warming Cabinet is designed to assist in the reduction of patient hypothermia. The Cabinet is mainly used in the operating theatre area for warming intra venous, dialysis & irrigation fluids. Kanmed Gel Pads and other gel positioning equipment. The Cabinet is also used in the recovery area to warm blankets and other patient bedding material.

The Cabinet will actively assist in maintaining normothermia in the perioperative phase.

The universal Kanmed Warming Cabinet is made in Sweden using stainless steel and high quality components making the constructions very sturdy. A long and trouble free life time is ensured.
